Rupes Rotary Coarse and Rotary Fine — a two-stage compound and polish system formulated specifically for the heat and direct drive of a rotary polisher.

A rotary doesn't oscillate. It drives straight through the paint. That direct rotation produces far more heat and far more cut than a dual action, and a compound formulated for DA work breaks down unpredictably under it — which is where holograms, hazing and burnt edges come from. The Rupes rotary line is built around that reality: Rotary Coarse handles heavy correction, deep scratches, oxidation and 1500 grit sanding marks at rotary speeds without flashing off, and Rotary Fine refines behind it to a clean, hologram-free gloss. The colour system stays consistent with the rest of the Rupes range, so blue is compounding, yellow is polishing and white is finishing, and the pads are open-cell for rotational stability and airflow through the pad.

## 🛠️ How to Use

**Assess and Test** Decontaminate the paint, check thickness, then run a test section. Rotary removes material fast, so confirm your combination before committing to a panel.

**Cut with Rotary Coarse** Pair with a blue coarse pad, keep the machine flat and moving, and work at moderate speed. Never hold the pad on one spot or let the panel heat up.

**Refine with Rotary Fine** Switch to a clean yellow pad and Rotary Fine at lower speed to clear buffer trails, then wipe down and inspect under strong light before moving on.

Rotary polishing removes clear coat quickly and is unforgiving of mistakes — it is not a starting point for a first machine correction. Assess paint thickness before starting, stay off edges, body lines and panel high points, keep the pad moving, and test your pad and compound combination on a small area first.
