A 5" yellow foam polishing pad with integrated backplate for rotary polishers — a practical, affordable option for applying polish and refining paint after a compound stage without committing to the cost of a branded pad.

After compounding, the paint needs refining — haze and micro-marring left behind by the cutting stage need to be worked out before the finish is ready for a coating or sealant. A polishing pad sits between the cutting pad and a finishing pad in the correction sequence, using medium-density foam to work polish evenly across the panel while generating enough heat and pressure to level the surface without adding new defects.

Polish pads are consumables — clean them thoroughly after each use with a pad brush or compressed air to prevent compound buildup hardening in the foam. Do not use on a surface without polish or lubricant. Always follow up a polishing stage with an IPA wipe-down before applying any coating or sealant to remove polish oils from the surface. This is a generic budget pad — not a professional-grade unit.
