The Rupes X-Cut P2000 Foam Abrasive Disc is a heavy-cut wet sanding tool designed to flatten severe orange peel, remove deep scratches, and correct dust nibs in fresh paint.

When a local paint shop in Pakistan sprays a car, the result often has a heavy, rippled texture (orange peel) or trapped dust particles. A polish cannot fix this; you need to sand it flat. The P2000 grade offers the necessary cutting power to shave down these high spots quickly, creating a perfectly flat foundation before refining with finer grades.

P2000 Cutting Power More aggressive than P3000, this grade is essential for the initial leveling stage to remove significant texture, runs, and sags in the clear coat.
Cushioned Backing The integrated foam layer acts as a suspension system, ensuring the abrasive applies even pressure over curves without digging in and causing deep gouges.

    Lubricate This is a wet sanding disc. Spray the paint and the disc liberally with water or a dedicated clay lubricant. Never use dry.

    Level Using a DA polisher (speed 1-2) or hand block, sand the area with light pressure in a cross-hatch pattern until the surface looks uniformly dull.

    Refine Crucial Step: P2000 leaves deep sanding marks. It is highly recommended to follow this step with a Rupes P3000 disc to refine the scratches.

    Compound Polish the area with a heavy cutting compound and a wool pad to remove the sanding haze and restore the gloss.
