Spray bottles run out halfway down a car. Your hand gives up first. A full vehicle of pre-wash through a hand trigger is several hundred pulls, and by the rear quarter the coverage is thinner than the bonnet got. A pump sprayer solves both problems at once — pressurise the tank once, lock the trigger open, and walk the car applying an even, continuous coat with no hand fatigue and no inconsistency. It needs no compressor and no electricity, which makes it the obvious first upgrade for anyone washing at home. The funnel-shaped filler port means decanting dilution without spilling, the self-locking trigger holds flow without constant grip, and the shoulder strap carries the weight properly once there's five or ten litres in the tank.

Reference Points

This is a garden-series sprayer, so its seals are rated for water-based and garden chemicals — diluted APCs, snow foam and wheel cleaners are fine, but strong solvent-based products such as tar removers will degrade the seals and nozzle over time. Always depressurise before opening the tank, flush with clean water after every use, keep one sprayer per chemical type and label it, and never mix chemicals in the same tank.
