Mafra Maniac Rain Speed is an anti-rain hydrophobic glass sealant that bonds to automotive glass and creates an impenetrable sealing coating — causing raindrops to bead and roll off at speed, dramatically improving wet-weather visibility and reducing dependence on windscreen wipers.

At highway speeds, water doesn't stay on a properly sealed windscreen — it beads up and gets blown off. Rain Speed creates that effect by bonding a hydrophobic sealant directly to the glass surface, building a self-cleaning barrier that resists washes and wiper fluids so the performance holds through repeated cleaning cycles rather than washing away after the first rain. The result is clearer visibility in heavy rain, reduced wiper smearing, and a self-cleaning glass surface that repels road dirt as well as water.

Glass must be completely free of limescale, wax, and contamination before applying — any residue will prevent even sealant bonding and cause streaking or patchy performance. Mafra strongly recommends using Water Spot Mineral Remover followed by Glass Cleaner & Degreaser as the prep sequence before application. Do not apply in direct sunlight or on hot glass.
