RUPES D-A Coarse is a heavy-cut high-performance polishing compound developed in-house by RUPES — engineered for dual-action polishers to remove deep scratches, heavy swirl marks, and sanding defects that lighter compounds cannot address, before finishing with D-A Fine.

Heavy correction on a DA polisher has always been a compromise — DAs are safer and easier to control than rotaries, but traditional heavy compounds needed the heat and speed of a rotary to cut effectively. RUPES developed D-A Coarse to close that gap. Its proprietary micro-abrasive technology delivers genuine heavy-cut performance on a DA polisher — removing serious defects without rotary risk, with low dust and an easy wipe-off that keeps the workflow clean. Always followed by D-A Fine to refine and finish the surface to a haze-free, high-gloss result.

Low Dust — Easy Wipe-Off Despite the aggressive cut level, D-A Coarse is formulated for low dusting and easy wipe-off — keeping sessions cleaner and reducing the effort required between panels during heavy correction work.

🛠️ How to Use

Prime the Pad Apply a small amount of D-A Coarse to a RUPES orange cutting foam, wool, or microfiber pad and spread at low speed to prime the pad evenly before beginning the working passes.

Cut Work one section at a time on a clean, cool surface in the shade. Run the DA at working speed with moderate pressure. Work each section thoroughly until the compound breaks down and the defects are removed — D-A Coarse produces low dust throughout.

Wipe, Inspect & Refine Wipe clean with a microfiber towel and inspect under direct lighting. Then follow immediately with RUPES D-A Fine on a yellow pad to refine the surface — D-A Coarse always requires a finishing step before the paint is ready for protection.
