Waxing a neglected car usually needs two products. These carry their own cleaners. Mild cleaning agents in the formula lift light staining and minor surface imperfections as you apply, so paint that's looking tired comes up brighter without a separate polishing stage — which is exactly what makes this the right first wax for someone who doesn't own a machine polisher. Behind the cleaners is a hydrophobic, temperature-resistant wax layer that brings out depth in the paint and beads water for around two months. The tins are large and the application is forgiving. The White version carries the heaviest cleaning content of the three, aimed at the dull, stained look white paint develops with age.

These waxes contain cleaning agents, so they work the paint surface lightly during application — test on an inconspicuous area first, and take care on repainted panels, deteriorated coatings or paint in poor condition, where there is a risk of discolouration. Drying times vary with temperature and humidity; buff off completely and promptly rather than leaving residue on the surface, and refer to the current product label for guidance.
